Halo, perkenalkan nama saya Indra Setiawan

I. Definition
Ø
CV
or Resume is a document that briefly explains who you are, what achievements
you have made in the past, how relevant your experience is to the job position
you are applying for, and whether or not you are the right person to be chosen
among other candidates.
Ø Curriculum Vitae (CV) or resume is a picture of yourself. A CV is the first thing that companies see from an applicant when applying for a job. The existence of a CV is very crucial because it is through the CV that the company gets the first impression about us.
II. Function/purpose
·
To
tell employers about your personal details such as education, work experience,
skills and interests.
·
To
get an interview for a specific job you have applied for.
·
To
show how you meet the criteria for the job you are applying for.
·
To
show the quality of yourself and convince the boss to invite you for an
interview.
· Curriculum vitae is a snapshot of your career history, it is used to evaluate your suitability for the specific role you have applied for.
III. Expression/Sentences
§
Specialties:
Stating that you 'specialize' at something isn't really saying anything. Unless
you are a generalist, everyone is a specialist at something.
§
Experienced:
Like 'special', experience doesn't say much. If you have worked at one company
for 10 years, you can be considered as 'experienced', but this may not mean
much if you don't know the ins and outs of your job.
§
Skilled:
If you are applying for a job, recruiters will expect you to have the necessary
skills. Saying you are 'skilled' is not as effective as showing recruiters how
you can apply your skills effectively to projects.
§
Leadership:
While there are no words, there are other ways to show your 'leadership'. You
will impress your boss more if you focus on the specific actions you took and
the results you achieved.
§
Passionate:
You may be 'passionate' about your chosen career; However, so do other people.
Sometimes people say they are 'eager' to hide a lack of experience which is not
the impression you want to give.
§
Expert:
Simply state that you are an 'expert'. In fact, it could be considered too
confident. You will be more convincing if you focus on measurable results and
achievements.
§
Motivated:
Employers have every right to be concerned if you are not 'motivated'.
Therefore, stating that you are, doesn't really say anything about your work
ethic or dedication.
§
Be
creative: You may want to let the employer know that you can think of original
and out-of-the-box solutions or that you have an artistic side. However, if
everyone uses the word 'creative' it loses its originality and employers are
likely to see you as unoriginal as well.
§
Strategic:
Strategy is important in business. Without the ability to plan ahead, no
business can survive. That said, if you describe yourself as 'strategic', you
are not telling employers about your ability to plan contingencies and solve
problems.
§
Focused:
Being 'focused' means you can concentrate on a task with attention. However,
most employers would expect this. Instead of saying you are 'focused', you can
talk about how you prioritize certain projects.
